5th Edition: IAFFEST 2024

IAFFEST 2024 is the 5th Edition of the International Art Film Festival which is focused on appreciating the efforts of filmmakers and their productions.

The purpose of this festival is to support filmmakers by rewarding them with funds to encourage them to make better-quality films.

The theme of the festival this year is - “This is Entertainment”. We would encourage filmmakers to tell their side of the story through their productions, seminars, and workshops.

We have received 350+ submissions from creatives in the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, Canada, Germany and 13 more countries all over the world.

The festival will be taking place virtually with the award presentation ceremony held physically in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Meet the Jury


  • Artist/Animator/Film Director

    Will Kim was born in Los Angeles and grew up in both LA and Seoul, Korea. Will graduated from Cal Arts with BFA and UCLA with MFA. Will's works have showed in various renowned international film festivals and museums. Currently Will lives and works in Los Angeles and teaches animation at Riverside City College in California.

    Will Kim received an MFA ('09) in Animation from UCLA and a BFA ('07) in Character Animation from Cal Arts. Kim’s work has selected and screened at renowned film festivals including AFI Dallas, Hiroshima Int. Animation Festival, Animation Block Party, St. Louis Int. Film Festival.

    Additionally, Will’s works showed at museums and concert halls including The Getty Center Auditorium, San Diego Comic-Con, Centre Pompidou Web Series, and Museum of Photographic Arts San Diego.


  • Writer / Director / Filmmaker

    Jo is a multidisciplinary artist with a passion for collaboration across art forms, her work spans sculptural installations, Theatre and Film. Her short films have screened nationally & internationally at over 40 film festivals, including BAFTA and BIFA qualifying, receiving nominations and awards in various categories. Jo’s BFI Network funded short ‘MUG’ which started its festival run in June 2022, has now screened at 23 national/international festivals including BIFA qualifying MANIFF and Women X and gaining multiple accolades, including ‘Best film to pass the Bechdel Test’.

    Jo’s new short film ‘GOBSTOPPER’ is currently in post production, due to be released on the festival circuit later in the year. She is drawn to writing about characters who dance on the edge of what society perceives as acceptable. She is also a passionate member of the KINOKABARET movement.
